By-Law and Enforcement Services- Weeds & Lawns on Private Property
Residential, commercial and industrial property owners must keep their lawns/property from becoming overgrown with grass or weeds and must remove the cuttings whenever growth exceeds twenty centimetres (20 cm) or eight inches (8”) in height.
Owners of property in violation of the By-Law will receive
- A 3 day Order to Comply.
- If the specifications of the Order are not met,
- The City contractor will deal with the contravention at the expense of the owner.
The City will recover the expense incurred by adding the expense to their municipal tax bill.
