COVID-19 – Physical Distancing and Gatherings on Private Property

The Province of Ontario is currently within the Roadmap to Reopening.

  • The City of Brampton entered Step 3 of the Roadmap on July 16th @ 12:01am.

Indoor Gathering Limits: 25 people

  • Private Property Social Gatherings (not restricted to members of same household)
  • Organized Public Events
  • Receptions (wedding, religious, funeral)

Outdoor Gathering Limits: 100 people

Applies to:

  • Private Property Social Gatherings (not restricted to members of same household)
  • Organized Public Events
  • Receptions (wedding, religious, funeral)

Ceremonies (wedding, religious, funeral):

  • Indoor and Outdoor permitted with capacity limits to permit physical distancing of 2 metres

Meeting & Event Spaces:

  • Indoor spaces open at 50% up to 1,000 people, following restrictions
  • Outdoor spaces open at 75% up to 5,000 people. following restrictions

Wear a face covering when physical distancing is a challenge or where it is mandatory

The minimum fine for hosting an illegal gathering is $10,000.00. The maximum fine for attending an illegal gathering is $750.00
